Authorities Identify Bicyclist Killed Near Carlos

Authorities have released the names of the two teens that were killed and seriously injured when their bicycles were struck by an SUV Tuesday night in Douglas County.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, 14-year-old Blake Nohre of Miltona, was pronounced dead at the scene.  14-year-old Nick Lambertson of Alexandria, was flown by helicopter to the Hennepin County Medical Center. A third bicyclist, 14-year-old Jayden Tatro of Carlos, was not struck by the SUV and was not injured.

Authorities said that shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday, the three boys were riding their bikes on County Road 9, south of Carlos, when the SUV collided with two of the bicyclists.

The sheriff’s office said the driver of the SUV, 24-year old Jedidiah Willander of Parkers Prairie, has been cooperating with the investigation.
