Authorities Searching For Suspect After Two Found Dead In Rural Long Prairie

Authorities in Todd County are investigating after two people were found dead Wednesday in a home in rural Long Prairie.

According to the Todd County Sheriff’s Office, it received a call at about 4:32 p.m. reporting a deceased male.

The person who reported the body to authorities went to check on a friend who hadn’t returned phone calls or text messages since Tuesday.

The sheriff’s office said deputies arrived on scene and found two dead adults under “suspicious circumstances.”

Investigators later identified the suspect as 22-year-old Dylan John Bennett. The sheriff’s office said Bennett is believed to be driving a blue 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe with Minnesota license plate number BCK487.

Authorities said they don’t believe there is a threat to public safety at this time.

The names of the deceased individuals will be released upon notification of family members.
