Brotherly Love Strikes Again, This Time In MLB

A few weeks ago I shared story about NASCAR’s Busch Brothers in what was a wild finish that saw brother Kurt out-duel brother Kyle for the win. Enter Major League Baseball”s Moran brothers.

I can only imagine this scene played out many times as these two were growing up…but this is big league ball. Brian Moran was on the mound and his brother Colin was at the plate.

The Miami Marlins called up Brian, 30, from Class AAA  on Tuesday. Last night, he made his MLB debut. And after getting the first Pittsburgh Pirates hitter out, up stepped younger brother Colin, 26.

With their parents watching in the stands, Colin took the first two pitches for balls, then fouled off the third. With the count 3-2, Brian delivered a slider over the middle of the plate for his first career strikeout. Yay…Big Brother wins again!  This is great for Baseball, A strike out never got in the way of a little Brotherly Love!
