Do You Share The Most Common Birthday?

There are 365 days in a year, 366 during a Leap Year.  One day and one particular month have more birthdays than any other.  What is it?

If you said September 9th, you are correct!  September 19th is the second most popular day to be born and September is the month of the most birthdays.  Dates were compiled over a 20 year period from 1994 to 2014 using the U.S. National Health Statistics and U.S. Social Security numbers.  September contains 9 of the top 10 birthdays.

Most common birthdates…

  1. September 9
  2. September 19
  3. September 12

Least common birthdates

  1. December 25
  2. January 1
  3. December 24
  4. July 4
  5. February 29

Leap day still was a more common birthdate than the other 4 holidays, even though it only happened 6 times in a 20 year time frame.

There’s also not that much difference between the top birthdates and the bottom ones on the list.  Only about 2-3,000 births in a day.  And one more thing…if you’re born in October, you’re the most likely person to live to be 100 years old.
