‘Father’s Garage Car Build’ Nears The Finish Line

It’s almost done.  After months of hard work, Fr. Aaron Kuhn, along with members of his church, including area youth, Fathers Garage is close to the finish line of this incredible project.

And that project is a MK4 roadster. a replica of a 1965 Shelby Cobra.  The goal, simply put, is to raise funds to support those interested in becoming Priests, or entering the religious life.

Raffle tickets are available now through Sept. 8 and can be purchased at several different locations including the Church of St. Ann, Weber’s Wadena Hardware, Auto Value Wadena, Drastic Measures Brewing, and John’s Car Care Center. Raffle tickets cost $100 with a total of 1,500 tickets available.

Fr. Aaron has been seen recently taking the Cobra, nicknamed “Teresa” after Mother Teresa, to various car shows in the area. If the raffle reaches 1,500 tickets sold, the church will purchase another kit car. I recently talked with Fr. Aaron at the Annual Pig-N-Wing event, as he brought the car out as part of the car show at that event, and he talked about the excitement this project has generated within the community.

I couldn’t agree more…….The checkered flag is in sight on this awesome project.
