Former Wadena Teacher Named To List Of Best Players In MN High School Hockey Tournament History

Former WDC special education teacher for over 24 years and one of the BEST MN hockey players of all time!

Brad Shelstad not only coached at WDC School, he was also a huge part of hockey play by play on the air here at our radio stations! 

The Minnesota Hockey Hub has collected a list of the the best players to ever play in the storied Minnesota High School Hockey Tournament for the 75th anniversary of the event. Turns out Mr. Shelstad was ranked as the 41st best player! The MN Hockey Hub had this to say about him,

Made 22 saves to shut out previously unbeaten Edina 1-0 in the 1970 championship game as the Indians finished undefeated and earned the only title won by a Minneapolis school. Made two other state tournament appearances as Southwest’s starter.
