When I was a kid, Mom not only served vegetables for supper every night, but she insisted we eat the ones we didn’t like.
The new survey from studyfinds.org says the most popular vegetables are:
- Carrots and Tomatoes
- Onions and Green Beans
And at the bottom these are the least liked vegetables:
Turnips, Beets, Radishes, Brussel Sprouts, Egg Plant, Artichokes, Butternut Squash, Zucchini, Mushrooms and the least liked vegetable of all…Asparagus!
Most people know they should be eating more vegetables. 67 percent say they feel guilty when they don’t have a vegetable with their meal. But most surprising of all is that 25 percent of those surveyed claim they’ve never eaten a vegetable!!!
The USDA says adults should eat 2-3 cups of vegetables per day, but only 1 in 10 adults actually follows those guidelines.
