It’s Time For Our Annual Picks For The Vikings In The NFL Draft

Thursday night begins the NFL draft, this time from the homes of the various teams General Managers.  So, it’s time for football fans to play GM and make their choices of who the Vikings will pick.  This year the Vikings have 2 first round picks, #22 and #25.  Which means we have 2 chances to swing and miss or get it right.

First, here are some of the experts from the various sports websites…

Rhett Lewis NFL Network

  • #22 Yetur Gross Matos, Defensive line Penn State
  • #25 AJ Terrell, Cornerback Clemson

Peter King NBC Sports

  • #22 Trevon Diggs, Cornerback Alabama
  • #25 Tee Higgins, Wide Receiver Clemson

Ryan Wilson CBS Sports

  • #22 Justin Jefferson, Wide Receiver LSU
  • #25 Jeff Gladney, Cornerback TCU

Star Tribune

  • #22  Josh Jones, Offensive Tackle Houston
  • #25 Jeff Gladney, Cornerback TCU

  • #22 Justin Jefferson, Wide Receiver LSU
  • #25 Kristian Fulton, Cornerback LSU

The Daily Norseman

  • #22 Kristian Fulton, Cornerback LSU
  • #25 Jalen Reagor, Wide Receiver TCU

And now for the airstaff picks…

Kyle Gylsen

  • #22 Jeff Gladney, Cornerback TCU
  • #25 Justin Jefferson, Wide Receiver TCU

Corey Tackmann

Trading our two first round picks to move up and select…

  • Tua Tagovailoa, Quarterback Alabama

Mike Danvers

  • #22  Josh Jones, Offensive Tackle Houston
  • #25 Jaylon Johnson, Cornerback Utah

I’m predicting that the Vikings will wait until later to pick a wide receiver, as there are some good ones beyond the first round including Tyler Johnson of the Gophers.  I also believe if the Vikings don’t pick an offensive lineman in the first round Ezra Cleveland of Boise State is a player who’s been rising on draft boards.
