Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office Reporting Jury Duty Scam

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday that it had received multiple calls regarding a jury duty scam.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the caller is claiming to be Chief Deputy Reed Reinbold with the Sheriff’s Office asking for money to get people out of having to serve jury duty.

On its Facebook page, the OTC sheriff’s office said, “This is a scam.  If you get this phone call, do not give out money or any personal information.”

Authorities stressed that “giving money to this scammer will not get you out of jury duty.”
