Veteran’s Day Facts

Today is Veteran’s Day- the day to honor those who have served this great country.

It’s day where schools and clubs and communities pay their respects.

History.com put together a list of a few facts and tidbits about this day.

Maybe you knew everything. Maybe you didn’t. Maybe you forgot and just needed a refresher.

Some of the interesting facts that stand out to me:

  • “In Europe, Great Britain and the Commonwealth countries it is common to observe two minutes of silence at 11 a.m. every November 11.”
  • “7 million veterans served during the Vietnam War.”
  • “3 million veterans have served in support of the War on Terrorism.”

I encourage you to click the link above and read up.

Thank you for you service!
