Winter Storm Causes Business, Organization Closures/Delays In Central MN

WADENA, Minn.– A winter storm has blitzed most of Minnesota and all of the listening area, with around 8 inches of snow reported by the National Weather Service from Sunday-Monday morning.

This strong weather has impacted local businesses and organizations, some of which are closed until road conditions improve. Here is a list of those establishments.

Monday, December 27th

  • Friendly Rider – closed
  • STEP – closed
  • All M-State campuses – closed
  • All Central Lakes College campuses – closed
  • Wadena Meals on Wheels – closed
  • Wadena Area Food Shelf – closed
  • Wadena Career Force – closed
  • Country Corner Café and Henning Meals on Wheels – closed
  • First National Bank in Henning, Ottertail, and Battle Lake – closing at 12 p.m. Monday
  • Wadena State Bank – All three branches closing at 12 p.m., drive-up will be open until 3 p.m. at Wadena location only. Bluffton location open from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. on Tuesday

Tuesday, December 28th

  • Rural Minnesota CEP Workforce Center – closed at 12 p.m. today
