AARON SIMMONS NEWSPAPER (1)

Pay What You Can • Original Live Music • All Are Welcome

NEW YORK MILLS, MN, March 23, 2026—The New York Mills Regional Cultural Center (NYMRCC) invites the public to an evening of live original music with Minnesota country artist Aaron Simmons on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 7:30 PM. The doors open to the public at 7:00.

Aaron Simmons is back by popular demand! Held in the Cultural Center’s intimate, listening-room-style gallery space, this concert offers audiences a unique opportunity to experience original, authentic country music paired with heartfelt storytelling.

Known for his energetic stage presence and genuine connection with audiences, Aaron Simmons brings both passion and personality to every performance. Originally from Stewartville, Minnesota, with strong ties to Wadena and Otter Tail County, Simmons has spent the past decade building a loyal following across the country.

Now based in Nashville, Simmons continues to rise in the Midwest country music scene. In 2024, he was named Male Vocalist of the Year by the Midwest Country Music Organization, adding to previous nominations including New Artist of the Year (2021) and Male Vocalist of the Year (2022). His single “Nobody’s Home in Wadena” also earned nominations for Song and Music Video of the Year and reached the #1 spot on Spotify’s Local Pulse: Minneapolis chart.

Simmons’ music reflects the joys of love, the pain of loss, and the importance of community, resonating with listeners who value honest lyrics and a modern country sound. His musical influences include Chris Stapleton, Caitlyn Smith, Brothers Osborne, and Tenille Townes.

This performance is part of NYMRCC’s Pay What You Can spring concert series, designed to make live music accessible to all. The series is made possible in part by a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council (LRAC). While grant funding helps support artist fees and promotion, community contributions are essential to sustain continued access to high-quality live music in rural west-central Minnesota. Audience members are encouraged to contribute what they are able at the door or online [here].

Seating is first come, first served. We anticipate a large crowd for this event, and will do our best to fit everyone in between our main floor and upper level seating. Doors open at 7:00 and music starts at 7:30. Come and enjoy this live original music experience with us!
