Now that we are all caught up, let’s get to this weekends action:
- Rained out, pushed to Sunday
- Game was postponed due to inclement weather
- Game was postponed due to inclement weather
- The elements couldn’t stop the Bombers and the Black Sox from playing on cool Saturday night. And of course it had to go to extra innings too.
- Hunter Haggenmiller and Alex Koep combined for 16 strikeouts on the day to keep the Black Sox at bay. Levi Arnold led the Bombers with the bats totaling 3 hits including a go-ahead 2-run knock in the 11th inning to put Urbank up for good. An impressive win for Urbank over a Class A squad in Alexandria!
- Initially was meant to be a Friday night game but mother nature had other plans. Instead the DiamondHwaks and the Snurdbirds play on a much nicer Sunday afternoon.
- It was a win for Midway thanks to a no-hitter from Scott Seim! He finished the day game with 15 Ks against Dent hitters.
– NYM Millers – 13 @ Nimrod Gnats – 3
- The Millers swat the Gnats thanks to a pair of big flies from New York Mills. Bode Roberts hits his first home run n in a Millers’ uniform and Derin Gaudette gets his first homer of the campaign as well.
- Jonah Johnson on the mound for the Millers goes 7 scoreless IP, collecting 11 punch-outs while allowing just two hits.
– Bluffton Braves @ Vergas Loons
- While we don’t have official scores for either game of the doubleheader Sunday, we do know that the run differential for Bluffton this season is off to a great start! The Braves outscore the Loons 24-0 in the two games for a Sunday sweep.
- Josh Dykhoff goes deep to log home run no. 1 in 2025 for Bluffton. Game two featured a combined no-hitter!
– Deer Creek Shockers – 12 @ Urbank Bombers – 1
-
Evan Lunde led the Shocker bats with two hits, including his first Shockers homerun. Deer Creek finished with 13 total hits
-
Gannon George, Chaz Eckhoff, and Evan Lunde combined to only allowing one run and 6 hits on the hill for Deer Creek in the Resorters/Hi-10 matchup
