Amateur Hour: Town Ball Tour 2025 is HERE! Kyle Gylsen will be going around the region for a game of the week to highlight the local town ball scene, putting a spotlight on the players and rich history of amateur baseball in central Minnesota!

Perham – 3 @ Deer Creek – 4

  • Kyle Gylsen picked a great game to call for first game of Amateur Hour: Town Ball Tour 2025!
  • A well-balanced day for the Shocker lineup, but it was Shertler who set the table with 3 hits and 2 runs scored
  • Detloff throws a quality start with 3 runs allowed over 7 innings while striking out 5. Nolan Coyle slams the door with a scoreless outing in the final two innings

Clarissa – 1 @ New York Mills – 13 (F/7)

Nimrod – 12 @ Sebeka – 2 (F/7)

  • The County Road 12 Rivalry between the Gnats and the Stingers was re-ignited again between the two local squads
  • Clay Erickson and Isaiah Usher roll on the mound, picking up 9Ks over 7 IP
  • Offensively, the Gnats collect 14 hits

Henning – 8 @ Dent – 0

Saturday, June 28

Henning – 3 @ Midway – 2

New York Mills – 1 @ Clarissa – 2 (Game suspended in Bottom 3)

  • Thunderstorms put the second Flyers/Millers matchup of the weekend on pause. Makeup date TBD

Sunday, June 29

​​Perham – 3 @ Bluffton – 5 (Game 1)

  • Peyton Rondestvedt lead the Braves to a game 1 win in the Sunday doubleheader with 2 hits and 2 RBI in the victory

Perham – 2 @ Bluffton – 1 (Game 2)

  • Evan Kovash goes the distance for a complete game in the final match of the double dip, scattering 5 hits and recording 3 strikeouts

Deer Creek – 1 @ Vergas – 0 (Game 1)

  • Conner Dutke made his amateur ball debut with the Shockers. Making a great first impression by throwing 6 shutout innings with 6 strikeouts in game 1 of a Sunday doubleheader

Deer Creek – 11 @ Vergas – 0 (Game 2)

  • It was the Lane Dilly show on Sunday afternoon for game two of the doubleheader between the Loons and the Shockers! He went 2 for 4 with 4 RBI’s and launching his first home run of the season!
  • On the bump, Dilly threw 5 shutout innings, also striking out 5

Dent – 1 @ Nimrod – 12 (F/7)

  • Ford Johnson moved the Gnats offense at the plate by going 3 for 3 and scoring 3 runs. Gunnar Ament racks up a couple extra base hits, including a double and a solo homer.
