Friday, May 23
Nimrod Gnats – 5 @ Deer Creek Shockers – 3 (F/12)
  • The Gnats come away with a 2-run victory in a late night, extra inning affair. Some high-leverage hitting from Gunnar Ament and Taylor Carlson led to Jason Steinke’s go-ahead 2 run single in the 12th.
  • Luke Weniger knocks out home run no. 1 on the 2025 season in the win for Nimrod
  • Isaiah Usher, Clay Erickson, and Paul Funk tallied up 21 strikeouts on the mound.

Detroit Lakes Ligers – 13 @ Moorhead Brewers – 3

  • The Ligers got the bats going in their season opening win over the Brewers thanks in part to a 3-hit night for Grady Kirchner

Ashby Athletics – 1 @ Urbank Bombers – 8

  • The Bombers get a win in some old stomping grounds for much of the roster, winning against Ashby on the Parkers Prairie High School field
  • Panther alum Hunter Haggenmiller throws a complete game while allowing only 1 run
  • Other Parkers Prairie alumni Koep and Debilzen each add a home run in the win
Saturday, May 24
– Clarissa Flyers – 2 @ Perham Pirates – 8
  • The Flyers looked to get revenge on the Pirates squad that knocked them out of the region tournament last season but the Pirates had other plans at Al Krueger Field Saturday night
  • Austin Aanenson rang up 10 strikeouts while allowing 2 runs over 4 hits with 3 walks over 5 innings
  • Cobber Ben Shumansky launched a 3-run bomb to open the game up for Perham in the late innings
  • Parker Duncan added a quality start for the Flyers with 6 innings pitched with just 3 runs allowed while striking out 7 batters
– Henning North Stars – 2 @ Vergas Loons – 5
NYM Millers – 11 @ Detroit Lakes Ligers – 3
  • Millers stay undefeated with a 4-0 start to the 2025 campaign
  • Austin Maneval recorded up his 2nd win of the season by going 5 innings while allowing 2 ER and racking up 7 punchouts
  • Bode Roberts had a 3-hit day in DL, while Zach Hocking helped the lineup out with a 3-run double for NYM
– Urbank Bombers @ Dumont Saints
Sunday, May 25

Midway Snurdbirds – 2 @ Bluffton Braves – 1 (F/10)

  • Originally scheduled for a doubleheader but the two squads play just one game Sunday but that doesn’t stop them from playing extra baseball as this one goes into extras for a Snurdbirds victory
  • Charlie Hodge threw five shutout innings to start
  • Scott Seim added the other five with 1 run allowed to claim the win on the mound while also notching the go-ahead RBI in the 10th inning. Talk about helping out your own cause!

– Detroit Lakes Ligers – 3 @ Barnesville Mudcats – 12

  • Jacob Thomas goes yard for the Ligers as he finished with 3 hits in the loss for the Ligers
