WADENA, Minn. – March 18, 2026 – Astera Health has donated three pieces of clinical equipment to M State to support hands-on training for students preparing for careers in healthcare.
The donation includes two Infant SiPAP machines and one ZOLL R-Series defibrillator. While no longer suitable for direct patient care, the equipment remains valuable for education and training.
The Infant SiPAP machines are in working condition, but maintenance parts are no longer available. The defibrillator is also functional, but cracked knobs make it unreliable for hospital use. Together, the equipment is well-suited for classroom instruction and simulation training.
“This donation highlights the value of our partnership with M State and the importance of finding meaningful ways to invest in the next generation of healthcare workers,” said Shelly Gompf, chief operating officer at Astera Health. “When we can repurpose equipment for education and training, it
creates a win for students, a win for our organization, and a win for the communities we serve. Supporting future healthcare professionals today helps strengthen the care available in our region tomorrow.”
The donation reflects Astera Health’s ongoing commitment to supporting healthcare education and strengthening the future workforce.
