C-I standout Tori Oehrlein to Sign with Gophers On Wednesday

CROSBY, Minn (KWAD) – The University of Minnesota women’s basketball program will pick up a major in-state recruiting victory Wednesday when Crosby-Ironton star guard Tori Oehrlein will sign to play her college basketball in Minneapolis.

Oehrlein, a 5-foot-11 junior in the class of 2026, is rated a four-star prospect and the No. 43-ranked player in the nation by ESPN. She chose Minnesota while the Gophers over Florida, Maryland, Michigan, Utah and Virginia Tech

Last winter Oehrlein put up staggering numbers for Crosby-Ironton, averaging 35.4 points, 15.2 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game while leading the Rangers to a second-place finish at the Class 2A state tournament. As a junior, she became just the third player in Minnesota girls’ basketball history to put up 4,000 points in her career.

Oehrlein will sign her letter of intent with the Gophers in a special ceremony at Crosby-Ironton High School at 11:00 on Wednesday morning.
