C-I’s Tori Oehrlein Breaks MSHSL All Time Scoring Record

On a cold frigid night, Tori Oehrlein, from the Crosby Ironton Rangers basketball team had the Galovich Gymnasium on fire when she broke the all-time scoring record for Minnesota Girls basketball on Tuesday night!

Oehrlein, a senior dropped an “And 1” Lay up with 4:28 to go in the first half to bring her total points to 5,062 and breaking the previous record of 5,060 points held by Rebekah Dahlman since 2013.

On hand to ‘Pass the Torch’ was Rebekah Dahlman, whose record Tori broke in the first half and shared her congratulations, and the joy she gets watching Tori bring in a new generation of 4th grade girls ready to play basketball at half time.

Oehrlein finished the night with 57 points in a 124 to 37 win over the Mille Lacs Raiders. The Rangers move to 13-5 on the season as the #2 ranked team in Class 2A.

Oehrlein will continue to add to her scoring total as the Rangers continue through the regular season and hope to make a deep playoff run. Oehrlein ends the night with 5,085 points.

Oehrlein is committed to playing College Basketball at the University of Minnesota. She currently holds multiple Minnesota High School basketball records including the All-Time Leading rebounder, Most assists per game, first girls player with back to back 50 point games and more.
