COLD SPRING, Minn. (KWAD) — FireFest 2025, the annual country music festival in Cold Spring, will not take place this year. Organizers made the difficult announcement on Monday, citing “a number of reasons which were largely outside of our control” as the cause for the cancellation.
Originally scheduled for Saturday, July 26, FireFest has become a staple summer event for fans of live music and an important fundraiser for the Cold Spring Fire & Rescue Department Relief Association. The news comes as a disappointment to fans, volunteers, and community members who have supported the event for years.
“We are saddened for needing to make such a decision but believe it is in the best interest of the event,” organizers said in a statement. “We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our fans and supporters who have been a part of FireFest over the years. It’s been an incredible journey.”
All event ticket purchases, camping reservations, and sponsorship contributions will be fully refunded. Organizers ask for patience as they work through the process of issuing refunds and providing support to ticketholders.
FireFest was supposed to feature Mitchell Tenpenny, Connor Smith, The Frontmen (lead singers of Restless Heart, Lonestar and Little Texas), and Meghan Patrick.
While the future of the event is not yet clear, organizers emphasized the lasting impact FireFest has had on the community and the fire department’s relief efforts.
FireFest has welcomed numerous high-profile country music acts to Cold Spring over the years, helping put the town on the map for summer concertgoers across the region.
“We’re proud of what FireFest has become and forever grateful for the memories made,” the statement read. “Thank you again for your understanding and support.”
