BERTHA, Minn. (KWAD) — A man and a boy were seriously hurt Friday evening when a car rear-ended their Amish buggy on a rural roadway in central Minnesota, authorities said.

The crash happened around 7 p.m. on County Road 24, just east of 175th Avenue, when a Dodge Charger struck the back of the buggy. According to officials, the two occupants of the buggy—a man and a boy—sustained serious injuries. The man was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, while the boy was airlifted to a medical facility.

The driver of the Charger was evaluated at the scene and released.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No additional details about the victims’ conditions were immediately available.
