MINNEAPOLIS, Minn (KWAD). — Just when it seemed Farm Aid couldn’t pack any more talent into its 40th anniversary show, the iconic benefit concert added a trio of powerhouse performers to its already jam-packed lineup.
Country megastar Kenny Chesney, along with Wynonna Judd and Steve Earle, will take the stage at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on September 20. This marks Farm Aid’s first-ever event in Minnesota, and it’s shaping up to be a must-see celebration of music and mission.
For Chesney, it’s a rare non-Vegas appearance this year and his fourth Farm Aid performance. Known for hits like “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy” and a devoted fanbase, Chesney adds arena-sized star power to the event.
Joining him is country legend Wynonna Judd, whose soulful voice has defined a generation of country music, and Steve Earle, the gritty folk-rocker behind “Copperhead Road,” who’s fresh off recent performances at Uptown Theater and The Dakota.
They join an already stacked lineup featuring Willie Nelson & Family, Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds, Margo Price, Billy Strings, Waxahatchee, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Eric Burton of Black Pumas, Madeline Edwards, Jesse Welles, the Wisdom Indian Dancers, and Minnesota’s own Trampled By Turtles.
Founded in 1985 by Nelson, Mellencamp, and Young, Farm Aid has raised over $85 million to support family farmers and promote sustainable agriculture. The event pairs world-class music with a deeply rooted mission, drawing attention to the struggles and resilience of America’s rural communities.
Tickets are on sale now, with prices starting at $101 for the full 11-hour music marathon.
