
WADENA, Minn.– The Frazee Hornets spoiled the Homecoming hopes of the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines with a 46-12 victory.
A balanced effort on offense led the was for Frazee. Quarterback Adam Vigen went 4/4 passing for 53 yards through the air and 2 rushing touchdowns. Noah Mekalson had 1 catch for 17 yards. Ben Reierson had 108 yards on the ground with 2 touchdowns. Tanner Moe went for 83 yards rushing and a touchdown. Dawson Lyman finished with 53 rushing yards. Tanner Moe had a 3-yard rushing score for his lone carry.
Frazee’s defense was able to capitalize on the 3 turnovers forced by the unit. The Hornets were able to score 24 points off those takeaways.
The Wolverines were led in rushing by Caden Nemeth, who had 60 rushing yards. Leo Petrowski finished with 43 rushing yards and a touchdown. Senior Blake Sundheim also reached the end zone on a 5-yard rushing score.
WDC was celebrating not only their Homecoming Week but also honoring the 2025 WDC Hall of Fame class at halftime of the game.
The Wolverines (2-4) will have their final home game of the 2025 season when they take on the Parkers Prairie Panthers.
Frazee (4-2) will also go back home and host Lake Park-Audubon next week.
