On 10/31/25, at approximately 4:30am, the Otter Tail County 911 center took a report of a grain dryer fire located in Tumuli township, southwest of the city of Dalton.

Otter Tail deputies along with members of the Dalton Fire Department, Elbow Lake Fire Department, Wendell Fire Department, and Fergus Falls Fire Department responded to the scene. Responding fire members and deputies located a 1000-bushel grain dryer engulfed in flames. The surrounding structures and grain storage did not appear to be damage. No injuries were reported from the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown, bat at this time is believed to be non-suspicious in nature.
