
ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (KWAD) — A 64-year-old Alexandria man was airlifted to St. Cloud after his motorcycle struck a deer Saturday evening, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched at about 6:57 p.m. to County Road 4 SW near State Highway 29 S, where callers reported a man lying in the roadway. First responders found the rider, identified as Todd Jay Chan, in the eastbound lane with significant injuries. Deputies said Chan had been traveling east on County Road 4 SW when he hit a deer near the intersection with Highway 29.
LifeLink III was requested to the scene, and the rider was flown to St. Cloud for further treatment. His condition was not immediately released.
The Alexandria Police Department, Forada Fire & First Responders, and North Memorial Ambulance assisted at the scene.
