FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KWAD) — The City of Fergus Falls Public Arts Commission is now accepting submissions for the 2026 Fergus Falls Sculpture Walk, a year-long outdoor exhibition set to transform the city’s downtown into a vibrant public art experience.
Artists from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin are encouraged to apply by Thursday, August 14, 2025. Six selected sculptures will be installed along Lincoln Avenue from May 2026 through April 2027, each earning a $2,000 honorarium, made possible through generous support from local foundations.
The Sculpture Walk is part of Fergus Falls’ broader initiative to activate public spaces and strengthen community identity through creativity. Organizers say the rotating exhibit not only supports artists, but also draws residents and visitors into downtown businesses, parks, and riverfront spaces.
“This is an opportunity to connect people to art in their everyday surroundings,” said Naomi RaMona Schliesman, Sculpture Walk Manager. “We’re excited to see how artists help shape the visual story of Fergus Falls.”
There is no entry fee, and each artist may submit up to three sculptures. Works will be evaluated based on originality, craftsmanship, and conceptual strength.
