
FRAZEE, Minn. (KWAD) — Two people are in custody as authorities continue to investigate a fatal shooting that left a 19-year-old man dead early Saturday morning in Frazee.
Arthur Deshun Campbell, 21, of New York Mills, is being held in the Becker County Jail, and a 16-year-old male is being held in juvenile detention, according to Todd Glander. Both are awaiting formal charges.
The victim has been identified as Bryson Andrew May, 19, of Frazee.
Glander said deputies were dispatched at 2:38 a.m. following a 911 call reporting a disturbance at a residence in the 700 block of West Ash Avenue. While deputies were en route, dispatchers received an additional report that shots had been fired at the home.
When law enforcement arrived, May was found suffering from gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were performed at the scene before he was transported to Essentia Health – St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities said four suspects fled the scene in a black SUV. The vehicle was located a short time later by an Otter Tail County deputy north of Perham, and four individuals believed to be connected to the incident were detained.
Officials say the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains active.

BREAKING: 19-Year-Old Dies After Early-Morning Shooting in Frazee
FRAZEE, Minn. (KWAD) — A 19-year-old man has died following a shooting early Saturday morning in Frazee, according to the Becker County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say a 911 call reporting a disturbance was received at approximately 2:38 a.m. on Dec. 20, near 701 W. Ash Avenue. While deputies were en route, reports came in that shots had been fired and that one person was believed to be wounded. Four suspects reportedly left the area in a black SUV.
When deputies arrived, they found a 19-year-old male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were performed at the scene, and the victim was transported to Essentia Health – St. Mary’s Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notification.
The suspected vehicle was located a short time later by an Otter Tail County deputy north of Perham. Authorities say four individuals believed to be connected to the incident have been detained. Names have not been released as the investigation continues.
Officials say the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident, and there is no further perceived threat to the public at this time.
The investigation remains active. The Becker County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by the Frazee Police Department, Frazee Rescue, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, and Essentia-St. Mary’s EMS.
