Wadena City Library Hosting Author/Photographer John Noltner For ‘Lessons on the Road to Peace’

The Wadena City Library is pleased to host author/photographer John Noltner in and his presentation, Lessons on the Road to Peace, in person, Saturday, August 9th at 11:30am, at the Wadena City Library.

The experience will take place in the large meeting room, for the once-monthly BookEnds Program.

“In the fall of 2020, award-winning photographer John Noltner and his wife Karen sold their home in Minneapolis and hit the road to live small, listen deeply and learn about who we are as a country.”

He will talk about their 900-day, 93,000-mile journey through the heart of America, the people they encountered and talked with, the problems facing our society today, and possible and creative solutions.

He will also sell signed copies of his book for interested patrons.

Now in its eighth season, BookEnds allows Wadena to welcome authors and journalists of note, to talk about their experiences in writing and publishing. Wadena City Library is the host of this program that has previously been presented by the New York Mills Cultural Center and the Wadena County Historical Society.

Organizers with the library will also have war memoirist Wendell Affeld at the Wadena VFW on Saturday, September 13th, at 11:30am.

BookEnds is made possible by through a grant from the Five Wings Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Legacy Amendment Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund, to the Wadena City Library.
