WADENA, Minn.– Staff at Wadena-Deer Creek Schools are looking for help fundraising for a brand new program to give all students a chance to compete in athletics.
Staff and students from the school’s National Honor Society are building a Unified Special Olympics program at Wadena-Deer Creek.
Organizers say the best way to support this program is by purchasing raffle tickets. Each ticket is $5.
The grand prize winner will receive $1,500, while the second place winner gets $1,000, and third place comes away with $500. Drawing the winners of the fundraiser will take place on December 10.
“The BEST part of this fundraiser is that 100 [percent] of the funds we raise go directly to our program and its athletes,” said organizer and WDC staff member Tabitha Petrowski. “Let’s make a difference together. Support inclusion, teamwork, and the spirit of the Unified Special Olympics by purchasing a ticket today!”
