REYNOLDS TOWNSHIP, Minn. (KWAD) — An 18-year-old man died early Sunday after an ATV crash at a residence in Reynolds Township, according to the Todd County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the call around 12:23 a.m. on October 19 after receiving reports of an ATV accident at a rural property northeast of Long Prairie. When they arrived, they found the man unresponsive. Lifesaving efforts were immediately started, and he was taken to the Long Prairie hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The preliminary investigation found that the ATV was being driven by a juvenile female at the time of the crash. Authorities believe alcohol was a contributing factor, though the incident remains under active investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

The Long Prairie Ambulance Service, Long Prairie Fire Department, and Petrie’s Towing assisted at the scene.

No additional details have been released.

Sheriff Mike Allen extended condolences to the victim’s family and everyone affected by the tragedy.
