NEW YORK MILLS, MN, February 4, 2026— Embrace warmth, creativity, and connection this winter at the 2nd Annual Hygge Market, happening Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center.
This unique event, which falls on Valentine’s Day this year, invites the community to slow down, savor the winter season, and celebrate the Danish concept of hygge—a feeling of coziness, comfort, and contentment.
This year’s Hygge Market expands in an exciting new way through a collaboration with the New York Mills Public Library. While the Cultural Center hosts a curated selection of artists and makers, the Library will feature local and regional authors, creating a richer, more vibrant market experience across both neighboring spaces.
Visitors can browse and shop from a wide variety of artists, makers, and authors offering handmade goods, books, fiber arts, baked treats, coffee, soaps, prints, and more. Confirmed participants include Farmhouse Bakery, JoZo Coffee, Sota Soap Co., Knitted Love, Holding Stones, Sunnyside Treats, and numerous accomplished authors, including Alicia Underlee Nelson, Ben Underwood, Cindy Fox, James Wedgwood, Monica Lee, and the Moorhead Friends Writing Group, among others.
In addition to shopping, attendees can participate in hands-on workshops inspired by Victorian-era Valentine traditions:
