Amateur Hour is a bi-weekly town baseball segment covering all of the squads across central Minnesota hosted by CJ Baumgartner!

Mondays we recap scores, highlights and standings. Fridays we preview the games through the weekend. If you are a coach, player, or fan – we want your help! Perham – 8 @ New York Mills – 5

  • Maddux Kovash throws a complete game for the Pirates with 9 strikeouts, 5 runs allowed. Perham hitters collected 10 hits overall and 11 walks in the game.

Urbank – 5 @ Carlos – 3

  • Hunter Haggenmiller slams the door for the Bombers, getting the save by throwing the final 3 innings

Saturday, July 22

Bluffton – 6 @ Midway – 8

  • Snurdbirds jump out to a 7-0 lead and hang on for the win against the Braves. Dillion Card launches his first home run in a Midway uniform while also earning the save.

Nimrod – 19 @ Wolf Lake – 0

  • Three Gnats go deep in the win. Paul Funk, plus Jackson and Luke Wenigar all go deep. Jackson also earns the win on the mound.

Perham – 0 @ Vergas – 9 (Forfeit)
