Amateur baseball playoffs are HERE! It was playoff time in Region 11C and there were numerous close battle and highlight moments. We have a breakdown of all local town ball games from the weekend!

Friday, July 25th
Nimrod – 5 @ Midway – 4 (In Menahga)
- Clay Erickson set the tone from the start by going 6 shutout innings in the victory
- Snurdbirds scored 4 in the 9th but couldn’t top the Gnats
- Not only does Nimrod claim the 2025 Lake and Pine title but also the no. seed from the league in the Region 4C playoffs this coming weekend
(R4) Kensington – 3 @ (H5) Henning – 10
(H7) Dent @ (H3) Deer Creek – 9
- Dent takes the forfeit and ends their season. Congrats to the Diamondhawks on their season and development!
(R5) Long Prairie – 2 vs. (H4) Clarissa (In Deer Creek) – 3 (F/15 innings)
- Jalen Hinzmann scores on a passed ball in the bottom of the 15th inning in a marathon game that took plenty of twists and turns
- Ryan Rydell and Kobe Hinzmann split pitching duties in the game for the Flyers
- Props to Predators starting pitcher Eric Hinnenkamp, who threw the first 12 innings of the game to keep Long Prairie in it with a gutsy performance
- It was a long night for the citizens of Deer Creek, who were patiently waiting for the game to finish so they could set off the annual Deer Trail Days fireworks on Friday night
(R3) Ashby – 15 vs. (H6) Vergas – 2 (In Detroit Lakes)
Saturday, July 26th
Henning – 3 vs. (H1) New York Mills – 10 (In Henning)
- Derin Gaudette goes deep twice for the Millers and launces them into the next weekend of playoff baseball
(R2) Sauk Centre – 5 @ Deer Creek – 3
Clarissa – 2 vs. (R1) Urbank – 7 (In Henning)
- Carter Simonson goes 8 strong with no earned runs in the victory for the Bombers
- Joe Snaza goes yard with a 3-run home run to break the game open in the middle innings
Ashby – 4 vs. (H2) Perham – 10
- The game was originally scheduled for Deer Creek, however was moved to Matt’s Field due to a miscommunication involving Ashby and the scheduled time
- A 6-run 2nd inning led the way for Perham to advance to the next weekend
- Maddox Kovash paced the Pirates with a double and 3 RBI on the afternoon
Sunday, July 27th
Midway @ Hawley – Cancelled due to weather
Ada – 10 @ Detroit Lakes – 0
Ashby – 11 vs. Kensington – 1 (In Henning)
- The A’s get a victory to keep their season alive and play into next weekend
- Congrats to the Kensington Norseman their 2025 season!
Clarissa – 9 vs. Dent – 0 (Dent Forfeit)
- Clarissa moves on to next weekend of playoff action
Long Prairie – 3 @ Deer Creek – 8
- Matt Steege singles 3 times and also scores 3 times to pace the Shocker lineup
- Travis George picks up the win on the mound for the Shockers to pace them into week 2 of Region 11C playoffs
- Congrats to the Predators on their season!
Vergas – 2 @ Henning – 4
- Henning advances to play next weekend!
- Congratulation to Vergas on the completion of their 2025 season!
