GRAND FORKS, N.D (KWAD). — The University of North Dakota men’s hockey program is turning the page on its jersey design—ushering in a new era with classic nods to the past and a notable change up front.

UND revealed four new hockey jerseys on Thursday for the 2025-26 season, made by new manufacturer CCM, which replaces Adidas. One key difference fans will notice right away: no more jersey numbers on the front.

The four new designs include two featuring “Nodak” diagonally across the chest in a style reminiscent of UND’s recent alternate jerseys—one in black and one in white. The other two feature “North Dakota” straight across the chest in the same style as the 1994 team and the 2021 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game jerseys—one in green and one in white.

The white “North Dakota” jersey will serve as the team’s primary home sweater, while all versions feature striping at the bottom and Fighting Hawk shoulder logos.

The switch to CCM came after Adidas exited the NHL jersey space, prompting UND to open the door to new bids. Adidas did not submit an offer. UND will continue using Adidas for the rest of its athletic programs.

“We’re excited that CCM is our partner and that they worked with us for the different iterations,” said Erik Martinson, UND’s deputy athletic director. “We’re excited for these main jerseys, but also for what we’re able to do for special jerseys going forward.”
