Amateur Hour, the bi-weekly town baseball segment covering all of the squads across central Minnesota hosted by CJ Baumgartner, continues to cover local amateur baseball in 2025!

  • CLASS & REGION REALIGNMENT
    • The Minnesota Baseball Association has issued a reclassification. “Bigger” and “more competetive” teams from Class C will be moved into Class B. Deer Creek Shockers – 9 @ Sebeka Stingers – 6
  • A 5-run 8th inning pushes Deer Creek over Sebeka in a comeback affair
  • Travis George lead the Shockers reaching base 5 times, Chase Nordlund reached base 4 times in the victory
New York Mills Millers – 15 @ Vergas Loons – 3
  • Austin Maneval started and picked up the 1st win of the season on the mound. He pitched 3 innings while striking out 5 batters
  • Teagan Lausten pitched the final 3 innings picking up 6 punch-outs
  • Brayden Ehnert led the charge at the plate collecting 3 hits 4 RBI. Braxton Ehnert and Logan Small each got 2 hits
New York Mills Millers – 5 @ Vergas Loons – 1
  • Hunter Holtti went the distance in a CG striking out 12 only giving up 1 hit to pick up his first win of the season o nthe hill while fanning out the first 9 hitters
  • Teagan Lausten picked up a 3-RBI double, while Braxton Ehnert recorded 2 hits
Bluffton Braves – 13 @ Clarissa Flyers – 1
  • Tyson Barthel goes all 7 innings in a victory for the Braves
Bluffton Braves – 10 @ Clarissa Flyers – 0
  • Peyton Rondestvedt picks up right where Barthel left off and went the distance in a complete game shutout as the Braves sweep the fishing Opener doubleheader
Sunday, May 11

– Kensington Norseman vs. Urbank Bombers 

  • Bombers open the 2025 campaign yesterday with a shutout win over Kensington in 7 innings
  • Hitters racked up 19 hits, while Bomber pitching held the Norsemen to 1 hit, and only one runner reached second base
