WADENA, Minn. — The Astera Health Board of Directors cordially invites the community to celebrate Joel Beiswenger who will be retiring, concluding a distinguished career that includes 30 years as CEO and 33 years of service to the organization and the communities it serves.

The celebration will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 3:00pm – 5:00pm at the Astera Health Main Campus in the North Star Conference Rooms. All are welcome.

Throughout his tenure, Beiswenger has played a pivotal role in guiding the growth and evolution of Astera Health, helping ensure access to high-quality healthcare for patients across rural Minnesota. His leadership has spanned decades of change in healthcare, positioning the organization to meet the needs of communities today and into the future.

“Joel’s leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to our patients, employees, and communities have left a lasting impact on Astera Health,” said Jackie Och, Chair of the Astera Health Board of Directors. “We are grateful to Joel and his many years of dedicated service to Astera Health and our community, as well as his many accomplishments.”

Reflecting on his career, Beiswenger expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve the organization and region. “I am honored to have had the privilege over the past three decades to lead this great organization for the wonderful people and communities in the region,” said Beiswenger. “I am so grateful for the Astera Health Team and the outstanding care and support they give every day.”
