MINNEAPOLIS, Minn (KWAD) — Farm Aid’s first-ever stop in Minnesota just got even bigger. Legendary Minnesota native Bob Dylan will perform at Farm Aid 40 on Saturday, Sept. 20, at Huntington Bank Stadium, organizers announced Wednesday.
Dylan’s addition adds even more star power to an already stacked roster featuring Kenny Chesney, Wynonna Judd, and Steve Earle, along with Farm Aid co-founders Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, and Neil Young, plus Margo Price, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds, Billy Strings, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Trampled By Turtles, Jesse Welles, and more.
The Hibbing-born music icon is no stranger to Farm Aid. Dylan performed at the festival’s first two editions in the mid-1980s and made a surprise appearance in 2023. However, this marks his first Twin Cities performance in eight years.
Dylan has kept a busy touring schedule recently, bringing his Rough and Rowdy Ways tour to Mankato and Eau Claire, Wis., earlier this year. He also shared the stage with Nelson last summer during the Outlaw Music Festival in Somerset, Wis. The two will wrap up the 2025 Outlaw run this Friday in East Troy, Wis., alongside Waxahatchee and Madeline Edwards, both of whom will also appear at Farm Aid 40.
Since its founding, Farm Aid has raised over $85 million to support family farmers and promote a resilient food system. Music will start earlier than usual in 2026, with the first act scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday.
