This event is part of the Cultural Center’s Window to the World program, launched in 2018 to bring global cultures to rural Minnesota through hands-on learning opportunities connected to a travel experience. Inspired by the organization’s vision to “celebrate the local and provide a window to the world,” the program offers accessible cultural experiences for all — whether or not participants travel abroad. In 2026, the program centers on Finland, complementing a group trip taking place in June, while also inviting the broader community to explore Finnish culture close to home through workshops, performances, and events in Spring 2026.
This program is supported by a grant from the American Scandinavian Foundation.
