Here’s A Look At Area Halloween Events!

Halloween is almost here! With the day approaching, several communities across the region are hosting events to snag some candy and have some family fun!

Community Halloween Party  Bertha-Hewitt PTO

The Bertha-Hewitt PTO is hosting a Community Halloween Party at the school inside the 2000 gym from 1-4 p.m. Sunday. There will be games, candy, and prizes for kids 12 and under. Kids must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. You can also bring in non-perishable food items as free admission.

Ottertail Lions & Thumper Pond present Trunks for Treats

The Ottertail Lions, in conjunction with Thumper Pond are putting on a “trunk or treat” event Sunday. Kids can grab candy at the Thumper Pond parking lot from 12-2 p.m. and at the Ottertail Community Center parking lot from 4:30-6:30 p.m. In addition to the sweets, four $25 gift certificates will be given to the best decorated trunks which will be voted on by the trick-or-treaters at the community center location. A hayride shuttle to the famous “Halloween House” for treats will also take place. Along with that, pumpkin decorating will be at the community center and cookie decorating will be in the fire hall sponsored by Ottertail Bakery.

Verndale Community Fall Festival

The Verndale Community Fall Festival returns on Sunday at the Verndale Family Life Church from 5-7 p.m. There will be candy, carnival style games. prizes for non-scary costumes, picture booth, and more! Those attending can come in through the front double-doors of the church.
