Menahga Senior Center Receives New AED

Aed

MENAHGA, Minn.– The Menahga Senior Center has added a new automated external defibrillator (AED) to the building.

This comes after the senior center received a $1,300 grant from the Tri-County Health Care Foundation. Five community members also received training on the lifesaving emergency equipment.

“Having an AED at local senior centers, schools, and other facilities gives them the resources they need to provide care until help arrives. We want to make sure this tool was available and at the ready in the [Menahga] Senior Center,” said Foundation Executive Director Ryan Damlo.

Every spring and fall, the Tri-County Health Care Foundation receives requests from local non-profit organizations for health related  funding.
