The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the husband and wife who died in a murder-suicide.

Here’s the press release:

“On 4/29/2022, at approximately 2040 hours, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of two adult’s who were found deceased at a residence in rural Wadena, MN within Ottertail County. The Sheriff’s Office believes it to be an isolated incident and there is no known threat to the public. Assisting the Sheriff’s Office is the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Names are being withheld at this time as the investigation is on-going.

Update 05/02/2022

After further investigation, the incident was determined to be a murder-suicide. 25 yr old Isaac Malone shot and killed his wife, 25 yr old Ariel Malone, at their residence in Compton Twsp, rural Wadena within Otter Tail County. Isaac Malone then took his own life. Autopsies completed by Midwest Medical Examiners Office. MN BCA is assisting with the investigation.”
