OTTER TAIL COUNTY, Minn.─ The Otter Tail County Highway Department announces the temporary closure of County Highway 1 south of Fergus Falls between I-94 and County Highway 2 beginning Wednesday, April 23rd.

Access to residences will be maintained during this project, with some delays expected. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to remain cautious and aware through the work zone. Traffic between Wendell and Fergus Falls should utilize alternate routes. Exit 55 ramps to and from Fergus Falls will close for approximately three weeks later this season.

Given favorable weather, the reconstruction of County Highway 1 is expected to be complete by September. Otter Tail County extends its gratitude to the public for their patience and understanding throughout the construction and summer highway maintenance season.
