Original Live Music at the Cultural Center
NEW YORK MILLS, MN, October 19, 2026—The New York Mills Regional Cultural Center will welcome singer, songwriter, and musician Mitch Paul Groethe for an evening of local live music on Thursday, November 5, 2026, with the concert beginning at 7:30 p.m.
A longtime musician from neighboring Perham, Groethe has spent more than 50 years sharing his music with audiences throughout Minnesota and beyond. Drawing from folk, rock, and blues, his songs are thoughtful, honest, and rooted in a lifetime of experiences. For the past 10 years, Mitch has performed as a duo with his son, drummer Micah G., who brings 27 years of drumming experience to the partnership. Micah’s musical background includes performing in dinner theaters, rock bands, and church praise teams. Together, they bring a wealth of experience and a shared love of music to the stage.
Mitch Paul’s music reflects a deep connection to the people and places that have shaped his life, with stories that explore everyday experiences, personal connections, and the joys and challenges that make up a life. Whether performing solo or alongside friends and family, Groethe brings a genuine love of songwriting and live performance to the stage. After more than five decades of making music, he continues to write, record, and perform, offering audiences songs shaped by years of experience and a lasting passion for his craft.
Groethe’s performance promises an engaging evening of original music and storytelling in the Cultural Center’s intimate, listening-room-style gallery. His songs offer a reminder of the power of music to connect people through shared experiences, familiar places, and the stories that shape our lives.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Cultural Center members receive a $2 discount, and student tickets are $5. Seating is first come, first served. A cash bar and snacks will be available.
