
In a press release, the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office has announced that Sgt. Bryan Savaloja has been awarded the Joe Strub Memorial Award.
“We are proud to share that Sgt. Savaloja was recently awarded the Joe Strub Memorial Award at the Association of Minnesota Emergency Managers annual banquet. The Joe Strub award recognizes outstanding partnership and dedication in keeping our communities safe through weather awareness, preparedness and response.
Sgt. Savaloja was selected for the award by the National Weather Service for his commitment to public safety, leadership, and collaboration with State, Federal and Local partners when severe weather threatens Wadena County.
Presenting the award to Sgt. Savaloja was AMEM president Kristen Tschida and Todd Krause, Meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
