From Tina Bartels- Wadena Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director:
“Business After Hours
Tuesday, October 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. Co-host Business After Hours with the Wadena Pioneer Journal at the Depot. It’s a great opportunity for the Chamber to formally introduce Cindy Hockert as our Events Coordinator and Tina Bartels as the Chamber Executive Director. We’ve had opportunities to meet many individuals while working events and being in the community, but with our busy schedules, there hasn’t been time to have an official meet and greet. We are also excited to introduce some new faces at the Wadena Pioneer Journal, Tiffany Voigt, General Manager; Julie Lake, Multimedia Sales Manager; and Nicole Stracek, Community Editor. I have enjoyed getting to know each of them, and I know they have the best interests of the community at heart. With the current construction project in full swing and next year’s project on peoples’ minds, it’s time to focus on what can be done to remain stronger together, and they, as well as KWAD, have some opportunities to share.
Here’s what you can expect during Business After Hours, October 7, 5-7 p.m.:
5:00 PM: Networking and appetizers.
5:30 PM: Introductions of new Chamber staff and board and introduction of new PJ staff.
6:00 PM:
- Construction update.
- PJ and KWAD presentation about advertising package offerings.
- Introduction of future training opportunities by Hope Williams at Economic Alliance, as well as exploring what area businesses would like to see for trainings.
- Q&A.
6:55 PM: Drawing for prizes. Must be present to win!
Please RSVP so we know approximately how much food we need to order. Tyler has graciously offered to donate appetizers from The BBQ Smokehouse. Thank you, Tyler!
