
MAHNOMEN, Minn (KWAD) — The White Earth Tribal Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday evening outside Kings Corner Bar in Mahnomen.
According to a department statement, officers and emergency medical personnel responded to a report of a stabbing during the evening hours of Dec. 13. Despite life-saving efforts, a 24-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said the incident appears to be isolated and that there is no known threat to the public.
Police have identified a person of interest as Dayami Clark, 23, of the Naytahwaush area. Authorities have authorized a monetary reward for information leading to Clark’s location and apprehension. Officials also stated that anyone found to be aiding or harboring Clark may face prosecution.
The investigation is being assisted by the Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
