
CROW WING COUNTY, MIN (KWAD) – A 19-year-old man was injured in a shooting during a domestic dispute Sunday night in Crow Wing County, authorities said.
According to the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called just before 9:20 p.m. to a residence in Center Township on a report of a shooting involving family members.
When law enforcement arrived, they found a 19-year-old man from Merrifield suffering from a gunshot wound. Officials said the injury is not believed to be life-threatening. The victim was treated at the scene and later airlifted to a hospital. Authorities identified the suspected shooter as a 72-year-old Merrifield man. He remained inside the home as deputies secured the area before surrendering to law enforcement without incident after переговорations with crisis negotiators.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including SWAT teams and a bomb squad. The suspect was taken into custody and is being held in the county jail on a first-degree assault charge.
