MENAHGA, Minn.– The Menahga Special Olympics Unified Basketball teams are headed to the State Tournament after taking first place in the area #5 Basketball Tournament last night in Crosby-Ironton!

“It was a huge success and an one awesome day of hoops!” according to the Menahga Public School via a Facebook post.

Both the Menahga Special Olympics Unified “A” team and “B” team won their respective division to take home 1st place. That punched their ticket to the State Tournament which will take place at the Target Center in Minneapolis. The Special Olympics Minnesota State Unified Basketball Tournament will be held on Thursday, February 15th.
